Few pick up on that highlight of psychological warfare. I think most people would recognize the term demoralization tactic. That's referred to often with "suppression polls", using fake polls to suggest Republicans can't win and keep people home.
I read or heard something once about how they could tell a mans politics when Germans blasted propaganda by their reactions. Those tactics didn't have to work on everyone, just enough to swing things a smidge.
I think there's a more accurate term in psyop parlance that relates to non-voters though: "Subjective Incompetence"

During a crisis, you need a very good reason to be contrarian. You don't have a very good reason. The UK is having a much harder time than the US right now because of how they vote. Biden did serious damage. Kamala would have had us all killed and we wouldn't be having this conversation right now.
I'd argue even the 1994 midterm helped mitigate a small bit of the problems we're experiencing today.
It's systemically pointless compared to a system where property rights aren't up for debate. But right now they are up for debate. Again, every blue district is a jail cell getting emptied. Blue victories always make anything else that we want to accomplish so much harder. I need this for my $5,000 and Kalshi bets.
