Ayn Rand also made a big deal about such eyes betraying abnormal levels of thinking.

I'm very self-conscious about where I put my eyes because I like staring at people and especially faces and have little desire to talk most of the time - and people expect you to smile or look away when they match your gaze but I'm usually lost in thought and don't really smile like that - so I usually look down or away. Most people's eyes look distracted ime.

I tend to look away from people when talking. I think it's not a good thing. But I'm too self conscious to look into their eyes.

I enjoy making eye contact during conversations, you can tell a lot from their eyes, eg. are they lying or hiding something? enjoying it or not? etc.

Yeah it's lame! I wish I could just stare at people all the time with a blank face like some kind of normal sociopath.

"It is my eyes which see, and the sight of my eyes grants beauty to the earth." so well said!

I'm more open talking with people than I used to, especially if they are doing interesting things irl.
