What percentage of households paid for Google? for Facebook?

AI is a tool for production/delivery of goods and services, so it stands to reason its skewed overwhelmingly towards the supply-side.

The 2.2% number doesn't mean 97.8% of households are unproductive, but rather that their AI use is paid for by an employer. Does that number include people that are self-employed/business owners? If not, that really just leaves tinkerers... tinkerers that are not already otherwise entrepreneurial.

When I see ads for consumer AI pushing things like "book your flights" and "manage your calendar" I cringe, those are the most retarded use-cases so it's showing there's no real consumer use-case yet.

FSD/Droids can change this household number, but still those are just physical clankers automating goods/services. FSD fires the uber driver, Optimus fires the landscapers. That's just changing service providers.

I also cringe, but didn't internal data at OpenAI show that the most common queries were about travel itineraries?

Assuming it were though, researching stuff to do at a given place is much different than giving the clanker access to your Airline accounts, picking seats/meals/layovers/departure/arrival times. There's usually trade-offs with that too, it'd take more effort to have a clanker do it right than just selecting a few drop downs on google flights and hitting select.

If there's a use-case for AI here, it's probably just google flights having a chat bot instead of clickable components, even that's a stretch IMO.

On-the-ground itinerary is probably good for the most NPC people, I know an NPC who recently used Claude for his on-the-ground itinerary for a trip to Japan. Most boring normie trip imaginable, seems like Claude was just an abstraction over Frommer's guide. When he told me/showed pics all I could think of was this mf:

Didn't experience the place at all.
