so the Southeast Asian way to drink coffee is to add condensed milk. But after living in Japan for two years, I have grown to like the taste of black coffee (notwithstanding the criticism that coffee in Japan is so bland to the extent of tasting like diluted water). These days, I drink kopi o kosong (that’s how we call black coffee with no milk and sugar here)

I think I was thinking of the coffee snobs around me who state their preference for real coffee in Australia (whatever real means to them) and deride everything else haha
