iirc the trust graph was permanent. decay happened to the extent that at every iteration, some trust "teleports" back to k00b, but every historical zap action you do has a permanent place in the trust graph, leading to smaller incremental trust changes for future zap actions.

Not sure how it works now or did work but yea that sounds suboptimal. Might have a long streak of someone making great posts then all of a sudden they start affiliate marketing with that trust and you need to decay that trust as quickly as you built it.
