I offered a bitcoin option on ebay for something I was selling and they permanently banned me for it. Trying to use an alternative account leads to that account being banned for being associated with me. The only online marketplace that has that kind of reach is Amazon and it's worse than eBay. Hypercentralization and debanking is real and a very serious threat that needs to be destroyed. The world shouldn't be this way.

The problem isn't eBay, the problem is that you're using eBay. This problem just solved itself so all is awesome.
Probably because they ban any side channel payments
Poors in disbelief.
Pretty retarded move on your part, tbh.
Why? Bitcoin is not illegal to use as a MoE.
Pretty retarded of Ebay to prohibit use of Bitcoin.
The Zionist owned petrodollar is under challenge and they will do anything to obstruct alternatives to their global hegemony.
Bitcoin is disintermediation technology. Ebay is an intermediary. Of course they banned OP.
They can't fulfill their buyer guarantee if you accept payments outside of their escrow. It could have been any shitcoin and OP would have been banned.
It's their domain and OP didnt follow protocol. They don't have to let you have an account. Especially if you don't follow their rules.
It's not hard to understand. You might if you ever owned a successful business.
Not the issue here. Even if I agree with you, it doesn't matter. Don't like it? Don't use eBay. Simple as.
Any reason to bitch about your unhappy/unfulfilled life. Retard.
I have owned multiple successful businesses- never been an employee since 1983 so I know a good business is not a predatory monopolistic parasite like Ebay.
A good business respects customers and does not try to use market capture to extort and manipulate people.
A good business is not afraid to give customers payment options and alternatives.
You sound like a corporate power fascist apologist - these corporate fascists and their apologists need to be named shamed and boycotted and removed from their anti-competitive dominance.
No surprise you hide your identity and lurk like a corporate sponsored lobbyist apologist coward.
Try to engage with what I said, dipshit.
You've never owned a business, LARPer. I know because of all this idealistic language and leftist cuck speak. will not engage further.
I have been self employed owner of multiple successful businesses for over 40 years.
You are the dipshit, arrogant, ignorant and irrelevant moron.
I've had this account for going on 20 years now and this was the last news on Ebay and BTC I remember hearing.
use Shopstr cc: @calvadev
Haha, saving stackers again 😄 Though no need to send 'em abroad when NY is right here. A [SELL] post in the ~AGORA could help. Not the same reach, but you'd get in front of the right audience: stackers willing to pay sats for interesting items.
What's the link? shopstr.cc gives me a 'server not found' error.
EDIT: Found it at http://shopstr.store
EDIT EDIT: Oh, I've already got it posted there. Dang.
The online selling platforms having been doing a bucket of stupid shit all over the place since most of them switched to an AI screening model on everything back in 2025. Everything from new accounts being. banned for life because the AI thought something was counterfeit to allowing scammers to refund stuff without checking to this now. None of it surprises me. These companies are running so heavy on automation and few humans to use common sense, more stupidity is on the way. As it is, they still make me money despite the headaches, but I've dumped Vinted. Depop is more fluff than substance, Mercari is simple but doesn't sell much and eBay is a pain in the ass but still produces the lion's share of my profits online.
I would appeal it, just to get your account back.
They want to stop people from using the best money.
Big companies can suddenly delete or ban someone without giving much of a reason, simply because they control the platform.
Try again. Make a new account. The bulletpoints don't explicitly ban you from doing that, they just say, "may also be suspended."
I was selling Bitcoin for dollars on eBay in 2013. It lasted less than a week after I got scammed out of 0.3 BTC. The buyer claimed they didn't receive the sats, and eBay sided with the buyer even though I could prove the sats were sent. I don't think Bitcoin belongs on eBay because eBay isn't Bitcoin native and the staff isn't specialized in how to handle it.
I've been an eBayer since 2009. I'm on my second account. You're right, it shouldn't be like this, but it is. eBay and the other big players are power factions and they have captured the network.
Over the years I have tried to opt out of eBay and Amazon. I used OpenBazaar, Brawker, Bitmit, CryptoThrift and Satscrap. I made 1 sale in Bitcoin land where I would make 100 sales on eBay. Every one of those Bitcoin marketplace platforms failed. The network is everything.
Sure, dip your feet in the alternative marketplaces. Early days and all. It will change, but right now they probably won't sustain you like eBay can.
Just try again. It sucks but you gotta move on to stay in the game.
Sorry to hear. That must have hurt
These online marketplace monopoly/duopolies hold too much market power.
NZs Ebay equivalent called 'Trademe' has banned paying by any means except their inhouse token called 'Ping' or cash which obviously you cannot do except for in person pickup trades.
So all online sales are now via their 'Ping' system where they charge 2% transaction fee.
They are parasitic rentseeking scum imo.
So don't use them.
eBay charges more like 10% and I still use it, because I think it worth the service they provide.
Here in NZ Trademe (similar to ebay) charge me 8% of sales plus 2% transaction fees.
They have an effective market monopoly and they exploit it.
Lack of a government that will prevent such rentseeking is the problem.
Corporate lobbyists own our governments and enable these monopolistic parasites to extort from all citizens and businesses.
You just passively accept this blatant rentseeking because you think it is normal- it is not it is symptomatic of dysfunctional politics and markets.
The sense of entitlement of these monopolist rentseekers is anabled by prats and cucks like you who accept it as normal.
You have no idea how much damage is being done to our economies by these parasites and apathetic enablers like yourself who accept this criminal amoral behaviour as normal, unavoidable and acceptable.
ebay is a piece of junk, I'd definitely go with~AGORA and https://www.takemysats.com/
The Zionist banksters own your government.
Wow.
Well, take it as a sign of encouragement, another step forward for leaving the fiat world behind. The ~AGORA will always welcome and incentivate you to trade freely.
Why you should care about debanking if we have bitcoin?
