Lets imagine.
In 10 years, "personal agents" are so wide-spread that humans rarely communicate any more except for very specific scenarios.
Your agent sends messages on your behalf that are then read by the other parties agent. The agents on both ends just present "one sentence summaries" of what was said to each, so who really knows (or cares) what the agents are really saying...since both parties are only really communicating with the middle-man.
Perhaps agent-to-agent speak stops even being human language and becomes a mix of highly compressed digital token-chains mixed with spurts of english-chinese-russian pidgin filler words.
It will absolutely happen. For the masses. They'll also route all their messages in cleartext through openai's servers, scanned by Palantir, forwarded to their local and world government, courtesy of the WEF, and you'll own nothing and you'll be happy because your agent will just inject some serotonin for you.
There will be a resistance tho. And if I'm still alive when all this goes down, you'll know where to find me. Because I'm not having it.
I think there's this psychological barrier for people to just say "idk bro I just vibed it" right now outside of hipster circles, so I'd just take a non-confrontational angle.
Like I was complaining 2 months ago, I asked a colleague (now former) about some choices they made in their code, over Signal, and they pasted me an explanation straight from ChatGPT. This is someone I worked with on a FOSS project for over 10 years and we've been through a lot of shit and it kind of pissed me off that they'd do that. But then they said they do that all the time now, because "the bot can explain it better than me". I see a whole next level issue with that statement, to such an extent that I quit that project too (was already considering it, but this made it an easy choice.)
