Because it is not the first time I have heard it.

Really? What other person has claimed that you don't need to keep your Lightning node online?

I'll wait patiently for your citation.

I literally shut down blixt all the time. So you're both wrong.

Blixt is unusuable at least in my experience

Depends on what you're using it for, I think?

I do like the lnpub->CLINK concept better for a day-to-day nickel & dime wallet, but not for larger private spending channels. Blixt works really well for the latter, for me.

I was trying to use it as a nickel/dime wallet

I'd not recommend all the hoops for that. Zeus does that better, but at the cost of stability. I may edit out all the hoops at one point and just shadow-maintain my own version of blixt that has the advanced features, but not the hacks that are there to please people with connected wallets.

Blixt is for advanced lightning users and has a lot of custom settings that need know-how for it to work. You can use it in testnet and learn more about lightning tricks. Their community is really active and responsive for Q&A.

Thanks for your response
