There's the obvious "believe in god" thing, but it's been so long that I don't really remember what it's like.
After that, I think the thing that I still kind of identify with is the military. I got out in 2018 and I still catch myself doing and saying things that don't make any sense to anyone else. It's really hard. My wife hated it and spent a decade trying to push me out and I've regretted it every day for the last 8 years.
I used to be pretty generous with money. Life taught me that I had to become much more careful with it. I would not say I enjoy being stingy, but sometimes circumstances force you to change.
