Not ignorant of anything. There are whole states within the US that think exactly like you do, who advocate for laws and systems exactly like what you have, and those states suck. I've already experienced your culture, history, economy, and politics firsthand. I live in it. The US isn't acting out of "ignorance." It's familiarity that's triggering the resentment for former allies.
From where I am standing as a neutral and friendly observer, it certainly appears that USA is struggling with accepting its decline.
Such absurd parodies such as 'Make America great Again' have been very readily accepted by the seething masses seeking a way out of this mess you got yourselves into.
It will take time to accept you lost the trade war and the petrodollar exceptional privilege upon which you have become dependent, but it will happen as the process is now irreversible.

The West's "decline" is a choice and a policy decision. If you remove the communists that are causing the decline, then there's no more decline.
You think the USA's political parties have some kind of shared pro-American outlook. No. We have the Republican Party representing the continuation of 1776 and Lincoln's Union, and the Democrats are a bunch of foreigners and traitors and subversives trying to gaslight us into surrendering Taiwan. Obama and Biden were Marxists that would have let you win if you had invaded.
The decline in economic and political freedom only happened because we tolerated people that we should have turned away at the border. The communists own the mainland because they're willing to get their hands bloody to stay in power. That's the mindset we need to learn from and adopt because there's no other way to deal with them. You think we've already been an imperialist country, and it makes you completely unprepared to deal with a US that does act through imperialist force. You're banking on some vague hope that the US will collapse so you can take Taiwan peacefully. It's not and you can't. You're getting a hot war with the US and Japan within 2 years. If half of America dies then so be it. Communists can't be allowed to acquire any more clay.
