Honestly, the product-market-fit has been ETF's.
I know blackrock / fidelity / coinbase can't be called bitcoin companies, but that is what the market wants....I wish it was type of competitor to visa, but thats not the way its played out.
seems like the lending platforms do well in bull markets
What do you mean by a bitcoin product?
Coinbase.
Turns out the product was fees.
Until people start wanting bitcoin, this is tough. I think Fold will do really well if interest in bitcoin surges.
I would say PlebLab found product market fit early on and you can see it throughout the space as now everyone has a community hub, hackerspace or accelerator. We created a product category that didn't exist before in Bitcoin, which is what one of the things VC money is supposed to do.
Bitcoin growth is relative to adoption. Crypto growth is relative to taking advantage of users. Both work just on different time frames and take time.
Like any company worth building takes time and lots of trial and error, building a company is not easy and building a bitcoin company is even harder.
@optimism had mentioned me in another post almost directionally about this #1557611 but I would say based on my experience working with startups, founders, grantees, developers over the last 5 years that if your trying to build a product or company in the space it is far better to either bootstrap or raise capital, not sure how you can receive "free money" and feel incentivized to build something that is innovative and valuable, being under the gun doing a startup forces you out of your comfort zone to innovate, you will either burn out, fade away, quit, succeed or die trying.
