I actually quite miss the old SN, when everything was dead simple: sign up - read or post - keep learning each day. I don't think there is a better environment out there for beginners to learn about Bitcoin till this day

if I want to learn about others things in life, I might go to other platforms, since SN don't really have much advantage here, the network effect is real

That's true for many things and many people. What I've experienced is that there's enough overlap of interests here that we end up wanting to talk to each other about other stuff too. I don't think we need to be the next Reddit, but it is nice that SN has the flexibility to accommodate the variety of common interests within the community.
