If I understand correctly slipstream lets someone mine a transaction out of band. So if I am on the BIP-110 chain and I asked MARA to mine a txn for me that has embedded spam wouldn’t it still get mined and added to the block?
No, because these blocks would be consensus invalid under BIP 110.
@BlokchainB: Transactions submitted to MARA’s slipstream remain in their private mempool until MARA finds a block that confirms them. Whether nodes consider the block valid would then depend on the content and the rules the nodes enforce.
During mandatory signaling BIP110 nodes only enforce the version bit on the block header, the validity rules for transactions contained in blocks are not changed yet. So, until BIP110 activates at block height 965,664, both Bitcoin nodes and BIP110 nodes would accept the same transactions in blocks.
