Would you use Lightning to book hotels or flights and pay for your business supplies? If not, what's the biggest obstacle for you? Volatility, fees, taxes, or limited acceptance?
limited acceptance. it is still difficult to find places that will accept lightning. when I do find them, I am happy to pay with lightning.
Are you saying it is much easier to find places that accept on-chain around you?
oh no! I'd say it is 9-1 they accept lightning versus onchain -- if they accept bitcoin at all.
that's a great ratio!
There are a few companies that accept bitcoin and LN for business payments. VPNs, email providers, Luna Node. I'm probably forgetting a bunch that I actually use. Bitcoin Travel apparently allows you to pay bitcoin for hotels and flights, though I have never used them. The square terminal now allows mercahants throughout the US to accept on chain and lightning.
Lightning is Bitcoin, it is not something separate.
Lightning is THE payment network of Bitcoin.
I already do that for years. I live on Bitcoin standard.
Bitcoin will not become a common payment because people are too dumb for it. The world is not prepared for the massive change in the mindset that Bitcoin is doing.
I never said is separate
ok, as it seems you live in the future already, I reformulate the question just for you:
What has been the biggest obstacle for you?
No obstacle for me. I've been in Bitcoin from 2012 and for me going to use LN as payment was smooth and easy.
The obstacle is for shitcoiners. It's a mindset problem not technological problem.
Lightening is the best for payment because of its speed for delivery (SFD) or transaction speed, I love it.
For me it's simple. More places need to accept it.
I'd happily use lightning if it was an option at checkout.
Once paying with Lightning is as easy as tapping a card, it'll be hard to ignore.
Acceptance is the biggest issue for me. Everything else can improve over time.
