Some schools in Singapore, such as the United World College of South East Asia, are imparting problem-solving skills through a project-based subject as part of the International Baccalaureate program.

I hope that one day all education will be like this in every school around the world.

That will be ideal, I agree. But I do think that it requires a lot of effort for educators to ensure that foundational levels of literacy and numeracy are attained for lower-progress students. Not that weak kids don’t deserve to use their brain cells, but just that there is only so much that teachers can do within a day
