Few things are as they appear. Not up to speed on this drama but on the surface it does seem extremely odd to me that Anthropic would suddenly have an issue. If you sell your products to governments that have militaries and police your products are likely to be used to do things that you might have moral issues with. The Trump admin just doesn't sugar coat it. As a student of history I don't buy the surface story as being presented.
