I'm not aware of any warped meaning, I just know it as an authoritarian ideology, a cult without a figurehead. But if you want to discuss wokeness we should probably start a new post for that. It would probably be an interesting discussion here.
I recommend Kaizen Asiedu's work on Substack: https://www.readclearthinker.com/notes
Also Jeffery Mead: https://substack.com/@thejefferymead
Both independent, reasonable, free-thinking black men in the US.
Ok, I think we are done here. I don't know much about you beyond what you have been writing here but I recommend you switch to a diet of independent news sources.
Off topic slightly, but it's in the same ballpark so I'm sharing. The comments here have largely devolved into 'you're a white male so everything you say on this subject is racist'. I would therefore suggest you watch this interview with Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the Somali-born author, former Dutch politician and prominent critic of Islamism. She discusses the riots in France, the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood, and what she believes is the failure of Western governments to maintain law and order.
Drawing on her extraordinary journey from Somalia to Europe, Hirsi Ali also discusses the differences between Western societies and the countries from which many asylum seekers originate, her own experience of claiming asylum in the Netherlands, and why she believes Europe's immigration system is fundamentally broken.
They also discuss the influence of Islam on British institutions, the future of Christianity in the West, and the growing debate over English identity and demographic change.
I believe it's relevant here because although this post hasn't focused on Islam, here is a black woman saying things that a white male would be labelled as racist for saying – and although the conversation is largely about Europe, the same argument could be applied to the immigration conversation in the US.
It's over an hour long, less if you watch at 1.25x, but I recommend it.
They'll probably run a promo around Thanksgiving.
I just read all of these. Plenty of valid points. I liked 'DOJ Makes Its First Arrest in the SPLC Case' the most, because we can all agree that infiltrating as a means to inform is valid and worthy. What struck me is that the individuals involved were key to organizing the march in Charlottesville. SPLC fundraised off the back of that event, claiming "look at all this white supremacy and racism, we need your support". Democrats than weaponized the event. The SPLC benefitted financially, and the Democrats benefitted politically. It was the Biden administration that shut down an investigation into the SPLC after banks flagged its suspect activities.
This article details leaders of extremist groups were being supported financially: https://nypost.com/2026/04/22/us-news/southern-poverty-law-center-accused-of-secretly-paying-ex-kkk-imperial-wizard-as-informant/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_campaign=nypost
That goes far beyond the "they're just informants" argument. So, you could argue that SPLC are perpetuating this problem and creating division, when in reality there may be far less white supremacy and racism than appears.
Nobody with any sense wants white supremacy and racism, but we should all also be aligned with wanting more truth and less division. If racism is being manufactured to divide us and stoke support for Democrats then I am entirely against that. Not because I am entirely against Democrats, but because I am against peddling fear and continually manipulating the public.
However, as always, I trust the criminal justice system and await their verdict.
I know there have been white Brits & Germans removed from the country due to their immigration status having expired. They were "remigrated", yet they're white. I have also seen Trump say that we do need immigrant workers, they just need to come to the US through the legal channels. I hear your concerns but I think you're being influenced by the fear pushed by the left, and perhaps you're unaware of how the left uses race to divide Americans. Are you aware of the case against the SPLC?
Correct. There is no shortage of people of all colors voting for Republicans. To suggest otherwise is a lie. It's all about ideologies.
Ha, yeah, I know that feeling. It's the desire to help people unfuck their lives and understand Bitcoin that really gets to me. I agree with your assessment that you may have failed to communicate the importance of it. Giving them a copy of 'Bitcoin is for Everyone' might help. It speaks to normies.
Fascinating post. I don't have much to add, other than totally agreeing with this:
"Normies seem to think it's a scam or a get-rich-quick scheme and don't associate it with freedom at all (I would add that normies don't seem to think the financial system they use poses any threat to their freedom at all)."
Helping normal people understand Bitcoin, why it's important, how it works – that alone is huge, and what will come from that understanding is the realization that it's freedom money.
How about solely addressing the issue that you originally posted about, rather than your list of other grievances.
Sounds tough, and as the Dad to a 9 yr old girl this feels close to home. It sounds like you have it under control. I like that you informed the school. I don't have much to add that hasn't already been said in the comments, but good luck and you have our support!
