A showcase of an application using the L402 protocol to paywall its services

says error occurred when i try to sign up

Man... I remember using Namecheap to buy domain names with waaaaaaaay back in the day, like in 2013! Can't believe I wasted 100's of bitcoins on those names I don't even have anymore now. :(

If you really want to stay private with a domain name I hear great things about a swedish service called Njalla. (https://njal.la) - Bitcoin-only, Zero KYC possible.

I think every engineer out there owns 10 domains that would be perfect for a side project. Then, the next time that they start something, go and buy the 11th one!

We would avoid buying a domain while it gets registered under someone else data but maybe it has its use cases?

reply

Nice! Bookmarked.

reply

Has anyone purchased a domain here?

reply

We launched about 6h ago, two domains have been purchased.

If you wonder about the UX flow you can see it here

reply

Nothing happens when I search for a domain.

reply

We had to restart something. Sorry for that.. it should be working now :+1:

reply

No problem, I'll try again!

reply

Wow... is it possible to use this without KYC?

reply

No, registering a domain needs to be linked to a real person/company. The details are not public (we make sure to hide it in the WHOIS) but the ICAAN (https://www.icann.org) will simply take it from you if you provide fake information
