Was alerted by a fellow colleague earlier this morning that half of the team I am part of was laid off. After reaching out to my co-workers one of my first thoughts was "If I'm next do I have enough cash?". Yes, everyone should have an emergency savings in a "stable" fiat currency if possible. Not too long ago I was considering buying more Bitcoin with my cash savings as I thought I should put that money to work instead of it rotting to inflation, would've been short sighted and irresponsible on my part. Stay humble and stack sats.
Has anyone else been reminded in a sobering manner of the importance of cash savings? Were you prepared?
