Ruthless efficiency. There's a value in reducing the effort the hard thing takes to do.

Also, if two people do the same thing, I don't base the value of their results on who it was more difficult for. I base the value on the output.

I'm not sure which creates more confirmation bias but that's my take between the two of them.
