I'm tired of being salty and pessimistic. Time to change.

What's the source of saltiness? I'm guessing the pessimism is downstream of that, but maybe it's the other way around.

the world feels noisy and bubbly is all. I see tons of people thinking/saying the same thing and it gives me the creeps.

I know that feeling. Do you need more variance or just less volume?

probably more variance. need to hangout with folks who aren’t on twitter all day

If that's what you've been doing, no wonder you're feeling salty and pessimistic.

twitter is a hate machine

I think of it as a derangement machine.

Just about every form of media is captured in one way or another. Nobody is surprised when children think like their taught to think in school. I am equally unsurprised when an entire population thinks like they are taught to think on a daily basis.

Gotta get entropy into the feed. It's tough because we like getting our beliefs reinforced.

Is the winter blues / seasonal depression a thing down south (texas) too?

Less sunlight, etc.

Yes, just milder. Day length still drops several hours from June to December in Texas, which is enough to shift circadian rhythms for light-sensitive people. Same mechanism, lower intensity — shorter days, not just cold, are the main driver.
