What a match we could watch last night! No, I am not talking about the PSG thrashing Citizens in Manchester (2-4), nor the incredible Real Madrid's comeback in Rome (3-4). Nothing to do with the tennis' score at Birmingham (Aston Villa 6 - 0 Fenerbahce) and Linz (LASK 3-6 Liverpool). Even the unexpected Bodo/Glimt's win against Dortmund (1-0) is not enough to shadow the match between Real Betis and Porto.
First half was just a goalless draw at the end of the first 45 minutes. However it was an interesting first half, where Real Betis had the ball and displayed an intense pressure over Porto defenders. Portuguese had a goal disallowed due to a handball and they also hit the bar in a mistake from the Betis' defense.
Second half started different. Abde scored an incredible goal where the Porto's goalkeeper only could follow the ball with his eyes. Then, they managed to score twice in 7 minutes. The match was in their hands, more exactly in Veiga's. He sort of created the foul that led to the equalizer and had the entire Real Betis team losing the focus on the match and just getting involved in disputes.
Surprisingly, Farioli, Porto's coach, took the worst decision he could take. He substituted Veiga and suddenly Real Betis scored the equalizer. The Spanish team believed again they could win and kept attacking, with almost 70000 supporters pushing them.
With just 6 minutes to the last whistle, a penalty kick was awarded and Isco, Player of the Match, scored. Supporters got crazy watching their team winning a Champions League match at home, after 21 years through the dessert.
With yesterday's results, 78 goals were scored this week. This means over 4 goals on average per game.

The lead narrows
Hahaha , I know. Though still a long way to go.
Well that week didn't go as planned.
You were almost right with the Betis-Porto draw and Brugge win was a difficult one to forecast
I take no solace in almost. next round I will come back strong
Can't be too sad about all of these baaad results.
Didn't watch any games but WTH, Brugge?!
Yes! Great surprise. I could not watch it as I was watching Barcelona. But this contest is full of surprises. Bodo beating Dortmund still unexpected, even though Man City, Atletico and Inter lost against them last year.
Interesting Champions League day
God, what a shame the MC lost... I hate it!!
