Download Glow. Get a Cup of Joe.
For one week, the coffee's on us.
We've set aside 1,000,000 sats for coffees, and all you have to do is download Glow, take a photo with your cup, and share your Glow Lightning address (@breez.tips) with us on X.
The Coffee Test
The most famous bitcoin purchase is a pizza. In May 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz paid 10,000 bitcoin for two pies, and the internet has been doing the math on that order ever since.
Its most famous non-purchase is a coffee.
For years, "you can't buy a coffee with bitcoin" was the line that ended the conversation. A payment that takes ten minutes to settle doesn't work when the barista is looking anxiously at the soccer moms and taxi drivers queued behind you.
And fees that cost more than a flat white don't help much either. Coffee became the go-to knockdown argument relegating bitcoin to the status of “digital gold” rather than the everyday currency for a rushed Tuesday morning.
Sorry to disappoint the naysayers, but bitcoin can now settle before the barista has finished steaming the milk, and the fee costs less than the swizzle stick.
Even better is that bitcoin is penetrating ever more everyday apps, solving real-world problems, without users ever having to worry about the complexity underneath.
Our product, the Breez SDK, is the complexity-reduction machine that lets any app or service add instant, non-custodial bitcoin and stablecoins. Over 100 product teams around the world are using our tech to help people do everything from tipping videographers to charging their cars.
It’s always more convincing to show than tell, so we’re going to show lucky Glow users by capturing bitcoin’s (flat) white whale: a cup of coffee.
The Great Coffee Giveaway of 2026
For one week, we'll pay 5,000 sats to anyone who posts a photo of themselves with a cup of coffee. The pot is 1,000,000 sats, and it's first come, first served. The sats go to users’ Glow balance.
Glow is our new reference app to showcase the Breez SDK. It's the quickest way to show the world just how slick the SDK’s UX is. Users can sign up with Passkey Login, so there's no seed phrase to copy onto a napkin. Everyone gets a Lightning address, which works like an email address for money. And it's non-custodial, which means the money is stored locally, not on some remote server operated by a bank or shifty crypto bros.
We're not fussy about the café, the order, or how it’s paid for. Espresso, oat flat white, an iced something with three pumps of syrup: it all counts.
Order what you want. It’s on us.
How to Grab Your Cup of Joe
- Download Glow from the App Store or Google Play.
- Take a picture of you and your coffee.
- Post and tag us on X with your breez.tips Lightning address.
- We'll send 5,000 sats to that address.
Just open Glow, and you'll see 5,000 shiny sats in your balance while you sip your brew.
Go get your coffee. Ours is a flat white.
The campaign runs from Thursday, October 15 at 09:00 EST to Thursday, October 22 at 00:01AM EST. It's open to the first 200 valid entries, one entry per person, and the Lightning address has to be a Glow address (@breez.tips). Breez decides what counts as valid.

Perhaps we can provide proof of coffee here? I don’t have an X account :(
Yeah, this should be allowed too
I mean, I think they're going for the viral effect on a big platform. But as yet another non X user, @@_ds, if you do decide to honor that here, I'd jump on board too!
The look of this thing is great, by the way!
Lightning has streamlined payments and, without much complexity, anyone can use a wallet and make a payment at the speed of light.
