I was trying to get drunk last night but I don't have enough cringy regrets so I think I missed the mark.
I am pretty hungover though.
I also have a bunch of bruises that I'm slowly discovering and I made phone calls that I don't remember. So perhaps the lack of regret is me getting so drunk that I forgot.
i know a few alcoholics. i don't know if it is cringiness or regrets that makes them drink. whatever it is, i am glad i don't have it.
if anyone reading this is struggling, i hope you will find the help you need.

Or a Japanese whiskey.... a long-aged masterpiece, with a 50/50 sherry and American oak marriage and notes of dark chocolate, dried fig, and Mizunara sandalwood.
I wish I could drink this stuff without the alcohol and get the same rich flavors..... but alcohol is the glue that brings the flavors together. What butter is to food, alcohol is to drink.

The downside of making merry with ex-students at NorthLight was not ensuring that the son had studied for his Chinese spelling that was scheduled this Friday. I could pen “To my horror, I realised that he hadn’t finished writing all the spelling words. My jaw dropped open in shock.” But I won’t because I’m actually quite chill even if I’m petrified that he would grow up not being able to deal with Chinese. After all, he had spent this afternoon touching black soldier fly larvae and harvesting compost. I reckon that this kind of hands-on experience is more important than being able to write high-utility Chinese words. (Anyway, his generation liberally abuses the electronic dictionary these days.) So, I wasn’t alarmed, but I did get him to copy each of the undone 7 phrases five times each simply because outcomes are immaterial. But putting in effort is.
P.S: He had a whale of a time gathering all the larvae in two egg shells.
