It writes better code than me. The most serious point is that it's still a proof of concept; I wouldn't trust money to such a thing, but nowadays that's nuanced: it's not "i wouldn't trust it as much as myself", it's "I wouldn't trust it without some review by humans and a lot of review by other LLMs".
For now I'm writing mostly the papers of these PoCs and then having the bots do all the hard graft :)

Hi, waxwing here :) Glad you think the babilonia idea is interesting! Just dropping in here if people have questions.
Indeed thimbly.org should still be running fine (the site is up at least!) if people want to test the idea with signet coins. Remember that this probably works best by using bitcoin nodes talking to each other, including over p2p though that is a bit of a whacky experimental idea.
My newest idea is as per this mailing list message https://groups.google.com/g/bitcoindev/c/yZEZ5P1lj5E/m/6ByuRM2mAgAJ , bitcoin trustless L2s created via channels. See https://github.com/AdamISZ/lichen and https://github.com/AdamISZ/ln-gap (kind of a backend for the former, mainly).
