Nice build! Always good to see explorers running their own hardware.

If you ever want to extend the 'tools' side into Lightning, there's a lot of low-hanging fruit. We've been collecting LN network data for a security research project and the live numbers are more dramatic than most on-chain metrics:

  • ~32,500 public channels / ~3,754 BTC capacity, down 32% in channel count over 24 months
  • slot-jamming Binance's node costs about 4,920 sats in flight and paralyzes ~7.4M sats of forwarding capacity (a 7,400,000x leverage ratio for the attacker)
  • LNBiG lost 73 channels / 34.5 BTC in the last 30 days
  • 7.9% of ~4,000 nodes we profiled set inbound fees, and every single rate is negative (median -498.5 ppm) — it works as a liquidity subsidy, not an anti-jamming mechanism

All of this comes from free sources (live gossip, Amboss GraphQL, node policy snapshots) — no paid data feeds needed. Happy to share the pipeline if you ever want an 'LN gauges' section.
