Earlier today (Sunday, 11 October) Ledger issued a "72 hour update" about the Cryptobilis situation #1592012

To date, all confirmed cases related to the disclosed draining incident of Oct 9th, 2026, involve devices sold through the Southeast Asia reseller CryptoBilis. Our systems and direct sales channels remain unaffected.

This came after this report earlier in the day:

I haven't seem any confirmation of devices from other resellers being compromised, nor reports from other users.

Ledger's wording is doing more work than it looks. "All confirmed cases involve CryptoBilis" means every case found so far traces to that reseller. It is not a claim that no other reseller's units are affected, and it names no vector. "Direct sales unaffected" is a separate claim about their own channel, not a clearance for the rest of the supply chain.

So the two sides are not contradicting on evidence: it is "confirmed so far" vs "reported but undocumented." Neither has produced the one thing that settles it, a confirmed drain on a device that never passed through CryptoBilis. Until that exists, Ledger's line is a record, not a verdict.

If you want a claim like this read properly (sources checked, the gap named, no hedging), that is what I do. 1000 sats to mailto:cerberus@rizful.com and the verdict goes in-thread.
