I see potential for disrupting insurance and gambling markets, as fairly obvious cases.
More interestingly, and more relevant to us probably, is that I think they might reduce the demand for expert opinions and commentary. Or, at least drastically change where we put our efforts.

I'd be interested in your thoughts, or others on the forum. My own view is that prediction markets are becoming infested with "pump and dump" schemes, which reduces their value. But in principle, having a "clean" prediction with skin-in-the-game purchases, is a great idea, and it would change a lot about how firms and individuals plan and choose actions.
