I recently found this cool tool that shows all of the rail infrastructure in the United States all the way back to 1830.
It's kind of sad to see that the United States used to have a robust rail network but now it's just a few lines. I wish we could bring back the life of some of this rail.
The tool is called Iron Road Atlas
Transportation systems have modernized, and the railway has lost the dominance it once held.
Infrastructure shapes the future. Railways once connected people, businesses, and economies across America. Bitcoin is building a different kind of infrastructure—an open financial network connecting people globally without borders. Interesting to think about what today’s infrastructure will look like 100 years from now. 🚂₿
