Heh, I mostly live in Ukraine... Last winter, at the worst, Russia's attacks left Kyiv with rotating blackouts, giving you just two hours of power a day. Russia also attacked district heating, leaving a lot of the city without heat.

Right now everything is fine. But Russia is expected to try to collapse the Ukrainian power grid again this winter; in front line cities like Sloviansk and Kramatorsk they're even attacking water and sewage. Many neighborhoods in Sloviansk are currently without water for the foreseeable future.

In Kyiv, I just got myself a $1500 backup battery, and will get a generator soon (I bought one for a soldier already to check it the model I wanted works well 😂).

I voted 6 OR MORE because technically we have that many power outages here in western MA. Our experience is different though as we have battery backup and very few of these outages actually affect us. Only if our battery backup is already low do we have an issue and need to manage our usage.

This year we haven't had any power outages, and last year only once, and it didn't last more than 30 minutes. But our family in Cuba has barely been getting 2 to 3 hours of electricity a day for more than 8 months.

Depends on where I am:

• Europe, closer to 0 than to 1 annually... maybe 0.2 or 0.15
• Northern or Eastern Carib 12-24.
• Southern Carib, 2-3 at most - much like US

Not many. Maybe a couple a year due to storms.

Very infrequent. We had one during the coldest stretch of winter a few years ago, which was a little concerning. Fortunately, we have a gas fireplace that pretty much stays on all winter, so there's at least somewhere to huddle up and stay warm.
