I recall seeing this node trying to open a channel to my node some time ago, is this a confirmed Malicious Node?
I'm not sure how a malicious peer can drain more than the channel they have created - or 'drain its peers node'.
Do we have any further evidence?
I don’t see how a malicious node opening a channel with me could drain another channel I have with a third node.
Wouldn’t the third node have to route liquidity toward my side of that channel first, and then my node would have to move that liquidity into the attacker’s channel? Simply having a channel with my node shouldn’t give the attacker control over the liquidity in my other channels.
Yes, this is my understanding too. There are no further details of this attack so we will have to wait.
