Perhaps, but I also see it online. So many Bitcoin people are featuring AI: presidio, spiral, Bitcoin park, lots of meetups seem to be more air than Bitcoin. Doesn't mean they have abandoned Bitcoin, but it certainly seems like they are going where the energy is.

Do you think it might be related to you living in Austin and Austin being startup-heavy?

I think there is tons of stuff to do. But I'm not convinced that these things can be made profitable.

We need more awesome stuff built within the bitcoin economy, i.e. products and services that use bitcoin rather than being directly about bitcoin.

More business, less circlejerks.

Might be healthy for bitcoin to let people who actually believe in it for ideological reasons to build quietly while the world's attention is elsewhere
