pull down to refresh

used to play bocce ball with my italian family. we'd go to this big reunion once a year where there a bunch of weirdos i didn't know but who were apparently my blood and everybody would pitch a tent and pull out food (not as good as you might have hoped) and in the middle would be a bocce game. kids didn't really get to play much. mostly the older adults. sometimes on the shoulders of the day we kids would play. you describe the weight of the balls and their unreasonable habit of rolling well.

When that older generation of folks died off over the last two or three decades, something broke and the extended family doesn't get together any more.

I imagine you played on a smooth surface. I cant decide if I prefer that or an uneven one. Both have their advantages.

Italian families can be loads of fun fromy experience. I am part of a few out of circumstance, not blood.
