Meta Platforms (META) stock jumped in early trading Wednesday, a sign that investors are excited by their initial look at the company's new AI agent app.

The Facebook parent company announced the new Muse app late Tuesday. The tech giant is pitching it as a tool that people can use to help sort email, make reservations and track health goals, among other day-to-day uses. Muse is a key part of Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg's expensive bid to remake the social media company into an AI leader.
