pull down to refresh

Visiting strawberry fairs in Japan is always a treat. It is always mind-blowing to see the various species under one roof and imagine how different farmers have worked hard to rear the most delicious fruits possible. Browsing through the stalls also makes my heart race as I never quite know what to expect. But if I were to be honest, I think it’s really fun to sample strawberries for free and discover which species tantalise my taste buds.

What does the author like best about strawberry fairs?

  1. seeing different kinds of strawberries
  2. anticipating the unexpected
  3. consuming strawberries for free

I had to come back after doing some research. It is super interesting to see strawberries in different colors, I always thought they were red, and when they are not, it means they are not ripe enough to be eaten.

So how do the white and the pink strawberries taste? Are they as sweet as the red ones?

I’m not so much of a gourmet so I can’t detect subtle differences in taste. I Judy feel that different strawberries evoke different images of heavenly bliss haha
