What happened there when the Brisbane defender caught the ball before it went through and then carried it out of bounds through the goal? He seemed surprised that it was a penalty or whatever it was.

I think he got done for deliberately taking the ball out of play. tough to be pulled up for that as teams do it lots and never get penalty for it

they rarely get called on it . the swans player did pretty much the same things a few minutes later and didn’t get called on it
