I would say so, particularly if you have an interest in subjects like brainwashing, cult behavior, lies and seeking truth. It's more about that than sci-fi in my opinion.

It depends on what you like. If you're into dystopian scifi, it's definitely worth a watch. It's based on book series so the story is good and the production quality of the show is high.
