Although humans were made in the image of God:

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.  

the Bible says that the work of human hands are dead things, not worthy of worship:

The idols of the nation are silver and gold,

So, even though God created us and we created machines, the machines do not have the "breath of life" which makes it into a leaving creature.

Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.  

Since we cannot impart the breath of life into our creations, nor can we create 

 (bring something into existence out of nothing), the creation fo AI hasn't ascended us into godhood.
