I still get a sinking feeling when I read or hear from a person or institution that I once respected and find them casually dismissing Bitcoin with the same shallow caricatures: digital tulips, Ponzi scheme, no intrinsic value, etc. Over time it forces me to quietly lower the weight I give their judgment.
