I checked into this and it's not quite so simple, but still:

Tails has not changed its code to a closed-source license, but it appears to have closed anonymous public access to its main source repository.

Tails’ own current build instructions still tell users to run:

git clone https://gitlab.tails.boum.org/tails/tails.git

But that command presently does not work anonymously. 

When telling my fav llm to poke around, it tells me:
