Just spent a while scrolling through a big newspaper's front page and Jesus, it's always the same shit. Flood here, dead body there, some scandal, a king dying (finally some good news), hackers extorting a city, gangs shooting people up.

And the two stories we could call "slightly less bad" for the day are a 97-year-old woman surviving a flood and people clinging to a balcony while the water tries to take them out. That's the good news, you'll say? Well apparently so, gotta squeeze something positive out of it instead of burning the newspaper on the spot.

I don't know about you but this constant firehose of misery leaves me feeling off. It's not that the world is actually on fire all the time, it's that it pays off for newspapers to sell you the world as on fire because that's what keeps you glued to your phone. And you end up thinking everything's a disaster when in reality most people just had a normal, boring day today.

So yeah, time to disconnect from that crap for a bit and get some fresh air, I could use it , except I go out to the ranch for some and end up dodging gunshots left and right.

Weird day, man. Anyone else fed up with the same shit, or is it just me? And speaking of chaos, it's been a bit of a rowdy day right here on SN too. Maybe all this daily chaos is starting to get to us a little.

It’s a good instinct to take a break
