I have noticed something about myself. Sometimes when someone hurts me badly, I can feel the anger in that moment, but I still can't bring myself to retaliate. Later, I start wondering, "Is this really me?

Sometimes I even question whether it means am weak, or there's something deeper behind it. Maybe it's simply my nature, or perhaps God doesn't want me to respond with the same kind of hurt.

Have you ever experienced something similar? When someone hurts you deeply, do you find it difficult to retaliate even when you are angry?

I would really like to hear your personal opinions and experiences.

Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak.

I'm sure there are other good quotes.

Retaliating in anger is what makes you weak, weak in the mind and weak in the spirit.

Being angry does not make you weak. There is some degree of appropriate anger when someone does something unjust. It's what you do with the anger that matters.

Thanks for your opinion, it's helpful.

Being unable to retaliate makes you weak. Whether you choose to or not is another question.

hurt like what? physically is the only way that someone could hurt you. other ways is just you punishing yourself.

reply

There are typically different ways of people hurting you, emotionally, physically, psychologically, mentally and otherwise. I'm just asking of other people's opinion if probably they must have had such experience before.
