It's true there's not much you can do about other peoples' choices, but it does call into question a few things, like whether you would choose to spend less time with such people, or confront them, or just live with it.

Perhaps live with it? For example, most people I deal with in daily life know nothing about Bitcoin, but that doesn't mean they're stupid. 👀

Your perspective seems to be more about security and privacy, but there are so many other facets too.
For me, the challenge of "living in the age of AI" is the pain of watching people cede their human voice to AI. It's weird to watch people you respect start to write notes with AI that previously they would have written themselves. So part of the challenge isn't just what you do with yourself, but it's having to watch what other people are doing
