As most users should already know, the Telegram bot has been disabled. Because of this, all P2P Bitcoin trading over Lightning is now handled by the MOSTRO app.
The MOSTRO app is fantastic; it's much more private and secure than the bot.
One of the major drawbacks of the Telegram bot was that scammers could create bot impersonators. And one very common attack was the fake bot invoice scam.
Attackers would contact you from a fake bot, sending you a Lightning invoice similar to the one the bot generated when you made a trade, in order to steal your funds.
This method is completely eliminated with the MOSTRO tool.

Mostro is more up-to-date than inp2bot and runs on Nostr; the difference is immediately noticeable. It doesn't require a good connection to work, which is an advantage for those with limited internet access.

Absolutely true – I recently had a go at this app and I think it’s brilliant.
A while ago, someone tried to scam me using that method on lnp2pbot, but luckily I managed to avoid them. I can see that with this app, that’s no longer a possibility.
