Ugh, was the BTC deal with Square just a pipe dream after all? Do you have to tell the seller if they accept Bitcoin to activate the payment on the terminal?

Yeah the few times I did pay at a square terminal I had to tell the cashier

Ideally the terminals should allow the payer to switch to the method they choose and I thought that’s what square terminals did but they don’t
