It's war. This is the price of citizenship.

But it is a question the White House should have to answer.

Nobody likes the answer.

Taxation means that some rando is stealing your money, which means they're stealing your time, your energy, and ultimately your life.

Everyone loves forcing landlords to pay for the schools, but why stop there? The end result of a statist/collectivist economic system is that whoever wins the election gets to decide who lives and who dies.

I wish I understood what your gibberish amounts to.

reply

Meaning Republicans are using the infrastructure that Democrats built, and will break it faster than it can be recovered.

reply

What does that have to do with him acting like a lil bitch, leaving staff and reporters on a decoy plane under a credible Iranian threat while he secretly escaped in a catering truck to another aircraft?

reply

Because his life is worth more than theirs. It's a tax.

reply

So let me make sure I understand you:

Not servicemembers.
Not Secret Service.
But civilian staff and reporters should unknowingly be placed in harm’s way by a felon, insurrectionist, seditionist, fraudster and adjudicated sexual abuser because the President’s life is worth more than theirs, and that’s a “tax”?

If that is really your position, it fits neatly with the depravity this populist movement has normalized.

reply

Sound like the textbook definition of a tax, yes.

If I do a job, and a political party redistributes x% of my income to fund their pet project, that's an attack on my livelihood. If I can't reform the system, then my only other option is to exploit it to my benefit.

reply

That isn’t a tax. It’s a security decision involving other people’s lives without their knowledge.

reply

That's taxation. It's not consensual, you're not informed about the plan, and the rate is whatever the ruling party deems necessary for the common good.
