An analogy between the marathon and Bitcoin
After the COLDCARD event, it is clearer than ever that self-custody must be understood as a complex, professional practice.
No one runs a marathon on day one. It requires training, time, investment, mistakes, and learning. Only then do you develop the ability to run long distances safely.
The exact same applies to Bitcoin.
No one should jump into self-custody on day one without preparation or training. Doing so vastly increases the risk of making costly mistakes.
Self-custody is not difficult. But, like any serious discipline, it requires education, practice, and experience.
Great analogy….definitely should have gone for the half marathon (21k) for the true bitcoin link 😂
