They were introduced to allow non coiners access to the site but due to the gross laziness and hypocrisy of many so called Bitcoiners here they are used by many as an easier option than attaching a LN BTC wallet.
Yes CCs are shitcoins but @DarthCoin and @denlillaapan among many others prefer to use these shitcoin CCs because they are easier than using sats.
