Prediction markets have a key advantage over regular gambling by using peer-to-peer trading and market-driven prices (set by supply and demand) to aggregate participants’ dispersed knowledge and incentives into highly accurate, real-time probability forecasts - the “wisdom of the crowds," rather than relying on house-set odds that embed a built-in vig for operator profit.
Unlike traditional gambling, which is primarily entertainment-oriented with capital locked until resolution and the house as counterparty, prediction markets allow flexible entry/exit of positions, surface genuine information signals, and function as powerful forecasting and decision-making tools.

That’s a very good point; prediction markets are driven by statistics and data, whereas games of chance are driven more by emotion than by logic.
It's still gambling but there are more parallels to trading the stock market than playing casino games.
both gambling but the prediction market is way better that's why lots of people choosing it lately..
I’m hoping that the rise of prediction markets forces traditional books to trim their vig and/or offer more incentives to keep business from moving to prediction markets
gamblers lying to themselves (and others) they're not gambling.
the only difference is that odds making is a bit more decentralized, not to mention outcome fixing, wich is criminal.
if you need a sign, that's it
good luck (oh the irony)

The biggest difference for me is incentives. Prediction markets reward being right, not just getting lucky.
I like the forecasting aspect. Markets often pick up new information faster than polls or headlines.
As long as they're transparent and liquid, prediction markets can be much more than just another form of gambling.
