Good catch! 😅 The 4th pillar was meant to be Education & Sovereign Node Operations – ensuring everyday users have the knowledge to run their own routing nodes without relying on trusted third parties. What are your thoughts on that being the missing link?

The only possible pillars are #2 and #4, but only if you know what you're doing. If you don't, just do stuff that you like doing, but please do us all a favor and never engage in promoting it - ask for help and feedback instead. Rationale against 1 and 3:

  • 1 is not something you can yolo with a bot and zero experience. Doing so would waste everyone's time, so don't do it. If you have the know-how, you don't need to ask. If you really want to do protocol work, learn from someone else's - be the intern.
  • 3 is obsolete if you do 2 right. Don't play their games. Ever.

I appreciate the blunt feedback. You make a fair point about #1 – protocol architecture requires deep expertise and definitely shouldn't be taken lightly or treated as a playground for bots. The goal of this post isn't to encourage inexperienced 'yoloing', but to gauge where the community thinks time and capital should be allocated right now. I completely agree that getting Privacy & FOSS (#2) right is foundational.
